Note: If your school uses the volunteer kiosk for you to sign-in through the front office your on-campus hours are recorded automatically. You can view and edit those hours, but do not need to enter them again.

To start, sign-in to your community portal site with your volunteer account details, and choose Volunteer > Hours.

On this page there are two sections for recording hours. You can either record hours to a Matched Opportunity (an event you signed up for at one of your schools), or you can record hours to a Generic/School Opportunity if there was no specific event on which you volunteered.

Matched Opportunities

1. Click on the name of the opportunity for which you want to record hours

2. From the dates when the opportunity occurred (only dates in the past will be displayed for logging hours) type the number of hours your volunteers and any comments about your efforts.

3. Click Save to update your hours.  These will display in cumulative form when you return to the list of matched opportunities.

Generic/School Opportunity

1. Choose the school where you volunteered from the drop down menu

2. Choose the Date when you volunteered. Be sure to check below for the log of hours already recorded for you at this school.

3. Select a Time when you started your volunteer work

4. Add any optional Comments

5. Input the Hours you worked

6. Click Log Hours
