EZVolunteer sends notifications to the Volunteer Coordinator (VMS_VolCo) of a school whenever a new volunteer registers and selects that school as one where they want to work. This is to keep the Volunteer Coordinator updated on what's happening with their volunteer list.

To stop getting notification emails requires removing the person from the VMS_VolCo Role, which means they will not be able to access the volunteer list at their school. To remove a person from an Administrator Role follow these steps -

1. Once signed in to the Admin Console go to Settings > EZVolunteer > Roles

2. Choose the Assign Users function

3. From the list of available Admin Roles choose VMS_VolCo. This will display the list of all users assigned this Role.

4. Scroll through the list of assigned VMS_VolCos until you find the person you searching for and REMOVE them from the Role

5. Save your changes to the Assigned Users page

This will remove the person from the VMS_VolCo role and that will cause them to stop getting new volunteer notifications.

At this time, there isn't a way to stop these messages without removing the role, the email address or inactivating the email channel.  In those cases, no other emails would be delivered or the individual would not have Administrative access to the Volunteer List.  The alternative suggestion at this time is to create a filter in the individual's personal email provider to filter the messages so they aren't seen in the inbox or even deleted as they arrive.

Here is a step by step for creating a filter for messages like this in Gmail.  Other providers should have a similar feature, but this will give instructions that will give you an idea of how it works:

-Select the message in your email box

-Choose the More button > Filter messages like these

-And it will bring up a filter box

-In the Subject line enter the NEW Volunteer Registered

-Hit Create a filter with messages like these

-It will open a box that has the options where you can choose to delete it, or apply a label for moving into another folder and the most critical choice here is to skip the inbox so you don’t see it. Shown below:
