Here is a guide to what each background result color means:

•White highlight (or No color applied) – No Results

This means that the profile has not been checked.  In some Districts, that means they would not be cleared to volunteer because no check has been run on the profile.  Other Districts may use that status if the individual is Under 18 or a staff member.  You can quickly check the Date of Birth or the Staff Affiliation on record to confirm that.
*If you find a profile that
has no results and is over 18 or doesn't have a District email address, contact your District Coordinator.

•Green highlight – OK Basic

This is a Cleared background check

•Blue highlight – OK Detailed Check

This is a Cleared Extensive background check, which is only applied manually.  Not by any Real-time screening integration and it is optional use.

•Yellow highlight – Review

The Volunteer profile has received information of some background check incidents that need to be reviewed

•Red highlight – Not OK

Individual may not volunteer, determined to be not eligible for volunteering

•Tan highlight – Pending

The Pending status includes profiles that require additional steps to proceed.  Profiles that are Staff, Under 18 or Duplicates will need manual review.  Instances where there was an Error in name or a system error occurred, you can go into the profile to fix the name issues (typically in the alias field) and Resubmit.  If the Social Security Number is required, you will need to gather the required information, and you can use Resubmit with SSN.

NOTE: Each District may use the BLUE or WHITE results differently than listed above.  Please check with your District to confirm the correct usage.
