To create a new background check list:

-Go to your Utilities module (top, wrench icon) and select Background Screening (you must have correct permissions to access this module)

-Choose the 'Create New List' button at the top

-When the parameter page displays, type in a name for the list you are making in the 'List Name' box (either the last name of the volunteer you need or describing what you are doing, like 'Manual Volunteer Screening')

-If you are searching for an individual volunteer look to the bottom of the criteria for the 'Search' button. There you will select the individual volunteer and hit Save, then Save List, and the list will display for you in the Background Check List Page

-If you are wanting to filter using any of the other criteria, choose what you would like and hit Create List, the Save List and the list will display for you in the Background Check List Page. (For all profiles with no background check, look down to the criteria section for the Background Status, in the dropdown, choose "No Result")


To run a check:

-For your list you just created in the Background Check List Page, look to the right and select Log Results for that list

-Check the box for the volunteer profile on the left side of the last name

-Choose "Resubmit" in the action dropdown above

-This will submit the profile for a background check and will apply either a green/ok result, yellow/review result or a tan/pending result.

-If it is green, you can just Save the list and then when back at the Background Check List Page, you can Delete the list you created as you no longer need it.

-If it is yellow or tan, you will need to move the profile by using the Action > Move to Existing List so it can be organized with the other

lists for further review or manual processing


To Apply a Result manually:

-For your list you just created in the Background Check List Page, look to the right and select Log Results for that list

-Check the box for the volunteer profile on the left side of the last name

-Look up to the middle and you will see a BG Check date field.  Set that for whatever date for which you want the check to be listed

-Next you will see a Incident date field.  This is optional but you can set that for whatever date for which you want an incident to be listed on the profile.

-Look to the right and you will see a Select a Result dropdown field.  Select whatever result you want to apply and hit GO

-That will apply the result to the profile. Continue with any other manual results as needed.

-When you are finished applying results, you can delete the List from the Background Check List Page


**DO NOT Delete the 'Review from Realtime Screening' List, as it is the automated list that needs to be there for catching Duplicate Profiles, Staff Member Manual Review, Under 18 Profiles and Real Time Screening Results
